Our staff is made up from generations of craftsmen.

Part of the secret of knife manufacturing is heat treatment. That is where we use the steel's unique properties to increase the knife's durability and reduce the risk of corrosion.

We have developed these processes together with world-leaders Sandvik. And it is from them that we obtain the cold-rolled Swedish steel that we use to make our stainless steel knives. In fact we can actually track the steel for our knives all the way back to the mine. 

We always begin with the task for which a knife will be used. Then we choose the steel. Sometimes carbon steel is most suitable, sometimes a laminated steel is required and, in many cases, a stainless steel is the right choice. During grinding, the edge and honing angle are adjusted to exactly match the knife's use.
